Who am I?

My name is Amelia and I am an artist and tattoo practitioner with a background in clinical psychology. My practice is rooted in close, grounded encounters with people and their stories. I spend much of my time in nature and have a strong interest in plants and their symbolism.

I grew up in poland and now live in The Netherlands, and the longer i’m away from home, the more I feel the pull of my slavic roots - the closeness to nature and the rituals.

Through tattooing, I work closely with people to translate their experiences and intentions into personal marks drawing from botanical knowledge to create talisman-like pieces that accompany them through periods of change.

These encounters have also helped me understand and reclaim my own sense of self, shaping my artistic practice along the way. Painting is where I turn inward and give form to what I have lived through. Across my work, I return to the body as a place we inhabit and learn to feel at home in. I care about creating spaces where people can feel comfortable and free to be themselves.

My tattoo practice grew from this longing to reconnect: with nature, with intention, with the self beneath fear and expectations.
